Included with suitable Aidy Smith DJ bookings
Turn every phone at the party into part of the entertainment
The Aidy Smith Live DJ Room is a browser-based interactive event space that runs alongside the DJ set. Guests can request songs, chat, vote, join games, play Bingo and share photos or videos when enabled — all from their own phone, with no app to install and no account to create.
No app neededGuests open the Live DJ Room in their browser, enter a unique first name or nickname and join the event.
Controlled liveAidy can enable, pause or change interactive features as the party develops instead of showing everything at once.
Built around the bookingThe room opens for the live event, updates in real time and closes again when the event window has finished.
One room, lots happening
More than digital song requests
The Live DJ Room can be kept simple or turned into a much more interactive part of the night. Features are selected to suit the event, so a wedding, birthday party, family celebration or adult party does not have to use the room in exactly the same way.
🎵
Song requests that feed into the night
Guests can send normal song requests from their phones and support matching requests from other guests. Requests still sit within the DJ-led event, so the music flow stays under Aidy’s control rather than becoming a public playlist.
💬
Party Chat, reactions and shout-outs
When enabled, guests can chat, react to messages and send shout-outs or dedications without leaving the Live DJ Room. Moderation tools, rate limits and all-ages checks help keep the room manageable.
🎱
Live Bingo on guests’ phones
Bingo cards can appear directly inside the Live DJ Room, so there is no need to hand out paper cards. The room supports free or paid Bingo modes, live calling and Host/DJ management during the game.
⚡
Quick Fire, Song Battles and Team games
For older children, teens and adults, the room can bring in fast votes, head-to-head Song Battles, Team Battle challenges and other DJ-triggered moments that give guests something to compete over together.
📊
Live polls, Party Awards and Mystery Moments
Aidy can launch questions, Party Awards, polls and surprise interactions at the right point in the event. They appear live in the room, collect guest input and can disappear again when the moment has passed.
🔥
Room-wide party moments
The Hype Meter, Kids Party Wheel and shared result notifications can involve the whole room. Game scores, wheel results and special events can appear for everyone without taking over the DJ set.
🧒
Kids self-play games
Family events can enable a set of games that children can start themselves, giving them something interactive to do between dances, food, cake and the other parts of the celebration.
📸
Guest photos & videos during the event
When Aidy enables Photos & Videos, guests can use a simple button to upload pictures or short clips and browse everyone’s contributions in a private gallery. Photos and videos appear promptly, with removal and uploader-ban controls for the DJ and authorised moderators. After the event, the organiser can share a separate private memories link for up to 30 days. Nothing is published publicly without permission.
🎛️
Event Host controls without DJ access
The person who booked can use a limited Event Host view for announcements, moderation and selected guest interactions. Aidy keeps control of the music queue, Live DJ Room features, payments and DJ-only settings.
Family parties & younger guests
Games they can start without waiting for the DJ
Kids self-play turns the Live DJ Room into a small party arcade. Guests can play whenever the feature is enabled, while the main room, music and other interactions continue as normal.

The room changes as the night changes
The Live DJ Room isn't static: it follows the booking and can shift between requests, chat, games, Bingo, polls and a private photo/video gallery when enabled. The room finishes with a simple countdown and closing message.
Before the event
The room stays locked. If another secured booking is coming up, the public page can show a countdown to the next live event.
When the booking goes live
Guests can enter using a unique name, and the room starts updating automatically from their phone without needing a separate app.
During the party
Aidy can bring features in and out as they suit the room — requests, chat, Bingo, games, polls, shout-outs and party interactions do not all need to run at once.
Towards the end
A simple 20-minute closing notice and compact countdown appear near the end, then the room closes automatically after the event.
Extra interaction without handing the party over to an algorithm
The Live DJ Room is designed to add another layer to an Aidy Smith DJ booking, not replace the DJ. Guests can tell Aidy what they want to hear, support popular requests, vote and play along, but the music still has to work for the room as a whole.
That balance is useful at mixed-age events. Younger guests can have self-play games, adults can join Bingo, Song Battles, polls or Party Awards, and the organiser can use Event Host tools without being given access to the DJ controls. The room can be as active or as simple as the event needs.
Live DJ Room FAQ
Questions about the Aidy Smith Live DJ Room
Do guests need to download an app or create an account?
No. The Live DJ Room runs in the browser. Guests enter with a first name or nickname and can then use whichever features are active for that event.
Can two guests use the same name?
No. Names are kept unique within the live event so the DJ and Event Host can tell guests apart in Bingo, games, Party Chat, requests and moderation. If a name is already in use, the second guest can add an initial or use a nickname.
Can guests request songs during my event?
Yes, when song requests are enabled. Guests can send a request directly into the Live DJ Room and support matching requests from other guests. Aidy still controls what is played and when it fits the event.
Are normal song requests guaranteed to be played?
No. Normal requests are considered throughout the event but still need to fit the night. When the paid guaranteed-request option is available, it is handled separately through Square.
Does every Live DJ Room feature stay visible all night?
No. That is part of the point. Aidy can enable, pause or change features as the event develops, so guests may see requests and chat at one point, then Bingo, a poll, a challenge or another interaction later.
What Kids self-play games are available?
The current self-play set includes Pop the Balloons, Connect the Dots, Party Memory, Catch the Stars, Find the Disco Ball, Party Beat, the Kids Party Wheel and Hype Meter. These only appear when Kids self-play is enabled.
Can guests upload photos and videos?
Yes, when the DJ enables Photos & Videos. Guests open a private gallery from the Live Room, upload from their phone and view other contributions. The organiser can share private memories after the party for up to 30 days. Moderators can remove unsuitable uploads, and nothing is published on the public website automatically.
Is the Live DJ Room only aimed at children?
No. Kids self-play is one part of the room. Teen and adult events can use features such as Song Battles, Quick Fire, Party Awards, Team Battle, polls, Party Chat, shout-outs, requests and Bingo.
How does Live DJ Room Bingo work?
Guests join the Bingo game from their phone and receive their card inside the Live DJ Room. The game can be configured for free or paid entry, with the DJ and Event Host able to manage the game and players from their controls.
What is Event Host access?
Event Host is a limited control mode for the person who made a secured booking. On the day of the event they can open Host Controls from their secure booking page without using Aidy’s DJ PIN.
What can the Event Host do?
The Host can post announcements, help moderate guests, appoint or remove moderators, dismiss waiting shout-outs, help manage Bingo players and launch selected preset interactions when Aidy has made those features available. They cannot control the DJ queue, enable or disable DJ features, access payments or use DJ-only settings.
Does the Event Host control the music?
No. Host access is there to help the organiser take part in the Live DJ Room. Aidy keeps control of the music queue, DJ features and the overall event experience.
When does the Live DJ Room open and close?
The public room stays locked outside the live booking window and opens automatically for the event. A compact 20-minute countdown appears towards the end, then the room closes again after the event.
What types of events can use the Live DJ Room?
It can be used at suitable Aidy Smith DJ bookings including birthday parties, weddings, engagements, family celebrations, private parties and other events across Yorkshire, including Bradford and Leeds. The interactive setup can vary depending on the event.
