Two event setups

Standard event setup or drum & bass event.

Both setups use a separate analogue audio mixer for the supplied sound system. The standard Aidy Smith setup is laptop-based, while drum and bass events can use two CDJs with a channel mixer for Audio Demon and other specialist D&B bookings.

Optional bass for standard events

Gold and Platinum include up to 2 Kali Audio WS-12 subwoofers, while Diamond includes up to 3, at no extra charge when you select them. You can choose none if the venue already has an appropriate system or you prefer less bass. Additional units beyond your package allowance cost £50 each, with up to four selectable where the access, sound limits and floor space make that practical.

Drum and bass bookings work differently. Foundation includes 2 subwoofers, with upgrades to 3 for +£50 or 4 for +£100. Pressure includes 3, with an upgrade to 4 for +£50. Full Force includes 4 as standard. Larger D&B events or venues with their own professional sound system are quoted around the actual room and equipment requirements.

Club, promoter and specialist drum and bass bookings will often have their own professional booth. Where they do not, the Audio Demon setup can supply two CDJs and a channel mixer alongside the analogue audio mixer, booth, RCF 932 main speakers, subwoofers where required and floor-lighting equipment for the booking.

Access, loading and setup time.

Loading is not simply the time needed to connect cables. Parking restrictions, stairs, lifts, narrow doors, long corridors and room turnaround can all change how early access is required.

Your choice of lighting is included at no extra charge. Gold and Platinum include up to 2 Kali Audio subwoofers; Diamond includes up to 3 when selected and suitable for the venue. The self-supplied Aidy Smith setup uses two professional main speakers, with the exact pair matched to the booking size and requirements. Smaller standard bookings can use LD ICOA speakers, while larger bookings and specialist drum and bass events can use RCF ART 932-A main speakers. The final arrangement still depends on the room, audience size, music style, venue limits and any installed sound system.
