MY BRADFORD DRUM & BASS STORY
The Audio Demon name was built through weekly radio, Bradford venues, R:Evolve nights, original production and years of staying connected to drum and bass.
First-hand history
My place in Bradford drum and bass.
It is my route through it: the radio shows I hosted, the rooms I played, the R:Evolve appearances documented by surviving flyers, the music I produced and the label I built to release it.
Some dates are precise because the flyers still exist. Other parts are remembered as longer periods—weekly radio across several years, repeated bookings and the gradual development of Audio Demon rather than one single starting night.
Radio made the routine
Learning through weekly radio shows.
On Frequency FM, I hosted a weekly late-night drum and bass and jungle show for several years. That regular slot demanded new music, longer transitions and enough range to hold attention without relying on the energy of a live crowd.
I later hosted a weekly show on UKBassRadio.com for years and returned to the station for more broadcasts. Radio became a different side of the same skill: selection, pacing and giving tracks enough room to make sense together.

From DJ sets into original music
Producing as Audio Demon.
Original music has appeared under Audio Demon and DJ A.D. The track Threat was originally released in 2013 and received support from DJ Bailey on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
In 2025, Threat was re-released through Mista Smith Digital, my independent drum and bass label. That re-release links the earlier production period to a catalogue that can now be documented properly on this site.
