Who is Audio Demon?
A drum and bass artist built around the dancefloor.
Audio Demon is the specialist drum and bass identity of Aidy Smith: a DJ, producer and independent label founder with 25+ years behind the decks.
The artist project brings together liquid atmosphere, jump-up energy and darker tech pressure. Each set is shaped around its place in the line-up, the sound of the room and the movement of the crowd rather than following a fixed playlist.
Original production under the Audio Demon and DJ A.D. names, radio history and Aidy’s label Mista Smith Digital all form part of the same artist identity.

Performance setup
A club-style setup for focused D&B sets.
Drum and bass bookings differ from the general commercial setup. Where suitable DJ equipment is not already installed, two CDJs, a channel mixer and an analogue audio mixer can be provided alongside the normal event equipment.
If the venue already has a professional booth, include the CDJ and channel mixer models in the enquiry so the available setup can be checked before the booking is agreed.

The Audio Demon project is backed by 25+ years of drum and bass experience across radio, club rooms, soundsystems, event promotion and independent releases.
That history includes long-running weekly shows on Frequency FM and UK Bass Radio, Room 2 at Metropolis in Leeds, Bradford drum and bass venues, a 2003 promoted night at Bradford University, R:Evolve Soundsystem appearances and BBC Radio 1Xtra support from DJ Bailey.
Frequency FM
Hosted a weekly late-night drum and bass and jungle show for several years.
Metropolis
Played Room 2 at Metropolis, Leeds, with Frequency FM.
UK Bass Radio
Hosted a weekly show for years, later returning to the station for further broadcasts.
R:Evolve
Performed as Audio Demon across several R:Evolve nights and soundsystem events.
Bradford University
Promoted and ran a drum and bass night headlined by G-Dub and Dysfunktion.

Audio Demon can play liquid, jump-up and tech drum and bass, or build a set that moves between those directions to suit the promoter, venue and crowd.
Audio Demon is based in Bradford and available for suitable promoter bookings, club nights, bar events and specialist drum and bass sessions across the UK, subject to venue, travel, access and equipment requirements.
Where the venue does not provide suitable DJ equipment, an Audio Demon setup can include two CDJs, a channel mixer and an analogue audio mixer, plus the DJ booth, speakers and microphone required for the event. Your choice of event lighting is included at no extra charge.
Yes. If the venue already has suitable CDJs, channel mixer, monitoring and sound connections, those can be used. Include the exact models and installed setup in the booking enquiry so compatibility can be checked.

A £50 non-refundable deposit or full payment secures the date. Where a fixed Audio Demon package can be booked directly, Book now places the date on a 30-minute hold while payment is completed; custom requirements are quoted first. The deposit is deducted from the total booking price.
Any outstanding balance is due at the start of the night, before the DJ performance begins, unless it is paid earlier from the original booking payment page. The agreed amount remains visible with the booking.
